Simon Wakim

Simon Wakim is an automotive expert and entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience shaping the evolution of transport in Australia.

Simon’s approach has always been relationship-first. From his early days in Sydney’s prestige motor market, he built a reputation for integrity and responsiveness – resolving issues directly and earning trust through consistent, long-term engagement. His instinct for anticipating industry shifts has kept him ahead of the curve.

Through GreenDrive Consulting, he works with organisations to transition fleets, infrastructure and strategy toward cleaner, smarter and more sustainable transport systems. This includes EV transition planning, charging infrastructure, fleet electrification, insurance and warranty frameworks, and operational readiness – all tailored to meet both commercial and environmental objectives. 

Simon also sees autonomous vehicles, AI-driven logistics, flying cars and smarter infrastructure not as ideas for the future, but as developments already underway. His consulting practice, True AI, is positioned to help automotive and infrastructure clients harness artificial intelligence and stay ahead of the curve throughout this change. 

He has several philanthropic endeavours, including the Simon Wakim Scholarship which aims to support students pursuing studies in related fields, such as engineering, clean energy and sustainable transport.
